New High Yielding White Oat
ANNIE Oats are a new variety introduced for the 2025 growing season. Annie is performing very well across the province with #1 yields in 1 year and 2 year averages in 2024. Annie seems to adapt well across most of Ontario in its two years in the performance trials, and has responded favourably when tested with PGR and Fungicide applications.This makes it an excellent option for high management.
Annie shows an impressive yield response (over 20%) when using a fungicide and shows significant stanability improvement as well. Annie shows similar heading and maturity dates to AAC Oaklin, putting it as a mid maturity variety.
Growing Areas
Annie performs best in the Midwestern Ontario and Eastern Ontario regions. Annie shows strong yield improvement when using a fungicide in both regions.
