Consider the new seed in the field

Soft red Drew is looking good

The newest soft red from C & M Seeds is standing up well in the field. Along with its great standability, Drew is medium height with an upright leaf and a uniform canopy. But, best of all, Drew has a good disease package and withstood stripe rust pressure in 2016.

Tim Meulensteen, C & M Seeds’ agronomist, says “Drew has moderate resistance to fusarium, which is the strongest of the soft reds on the market.”

Drew has a small kernel size which might be attractive to growers looking for a lower net cost/acre for seeding, Meulensteen adds.
